ProductABNT NBR 7271/88; ASTM B 231
APPLICATIONS
It is an homogeneous conductor stranded with Aluminium 1350, Class AA for bare conductors used in overhead lines.
APPLICATIONS
AAC is usually as bare cable for primary and secondary distribution lines with short spans where high mechanical strength is not required. However due to be an Aluminium homogeneous conductor, the Ampacity is very well optimized.
Construction
AAC is concentrically stranded conductor with one or more layers of Aluminium wire hard-drawn 1350-H19. The number of wires depends basically on the electrical requirements that will define the size.
Conditions for Ampacity calculation
Conductor temperature = 75 °C;
Room temperature = 25 °C;
Wind speed = 1 m/sec, sunny.
