Nexans XLPE-HDPE TR AL 15kV 1x300mm2
Nexans XLPE-HDPE TR AL 15kV 1x300mm2
Nexans XLPE-HDPE TR AL cable (formerly FIPEX TR) is a covered - non-insulated* cable, ranging from 15 kV to 35 kV. This cable is ideal for compact overhead distribution networks because of its resistance to weathering, electrical sparking, ultraviolet radiation and mechanical abrasion. It has a double sheath (first sheath (inner sheath) in XLPE thermosetting compound and the second sheath (outer sheath) in HDPE high density polyethylene, aluminum conductor, class 2 stranding, compacted type. *Note: These cables do not have insulation shielding, so they are not considered insulated cables.

Application:
The use of bare conductors in overhead power distribution lines, especially in wooded areas, leads to frequent disconnections due to the possible contact of branches with the conductor. This is because the conductor has no protection and is totally exposed to the environment, which is why maintenance interventions are frequent, causing inconvenience to the population.
With the aim of improving the quality of energy distribution, Nexans offers the Nexans XLPE-HDPE TR AL medium voltage cable range for use in compact aerial distribution networks.
Nexans XLPE-HDPE TR AL cables enable greater reliability in the supply of electricity, reducing corrective maintenance and unexpected power outages, as well as harmonious coexistence with the environment, drastically reducing tree pruning and minimizing visual pollution of the environment.
Construction:
1.Conductor: Formed from aluminium alloy 1350 wire, round compacted, class 2 stranding, according to NBR NM 280, conductivity MIN. 61% IACS, optionally lockable, tensile strength MIN 130 MPa.
2.Conductor shielding: Extruded semiconductor thermosetting compound (optional for 15kV and 25kV classes).
3.Inner cover: Cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) thermosetting compound for 90°C conductor operating temperature, meeting the physical requirements prescribed by NBR 6251.
4.Outer cover: High-density polyethylene (HDPE) thermosetting compound, resistant to weathering, electrical sparking (>2,75kV), ultraviolet radiation and mechanical abrasion, in gray.
Identification:
They are supplied in gray with marking as provided for by NBR6251 and sequential metering.
Note: For harsher environmental conditions, blue cables with higher spark resistance (>5kV) are recommended.
Operating regime:
The thermal limits in operating regime are in accordance with ABNT NBR 6251.
Permanent regime: 90ºC
Overload regime: 100ºC
Short-circuit regime: 250ºC
