Aplication

Nexans VFD HEPR-SHF1 0.6/1kV cables are used in the field of industrial automation, where there is an increasing presence of electromagnetic noise that can affect the operation of electric motors. Frequency inverter cables are particularly recommended for supplying and interconnecting systems with frequency inverters, designed to withstand the highest voltage gradients, through the presence of harmonics and suppression of noise and electromagnetic interference, which are present in these types of circuits. The covering of this cable is a non-halogenated thermoplastic compound type SHF1 (LFH - Low Fire Hazard), in black colour. It is particularly recommended for environments where, in the event of a fire, there is a potential risk due to the concentration of people or contamination of food and equipment.

Construction

  1. Phase conductors: Made of bare copper wires with a minimum conductivity of 100% IACS, soft-tempered, complying with class 5 stranding.
  2. Insulation: High-modulus ethylene-propylene compound (HEPR), for a maximum temperature of 90ºC in continuous operation.
  3. Core: Made up of three insulated conductors twisted together.
  4. Inner sheath: Layer of non-halogenated thermoplastic polyolefin compound (SHF1) extruded over the assembly, acting as a padding for the neutral conductor.
  5. Neutral conductor: Bare copper wires, helically arranged, regularly distributed over the inner sheath, reduced equivalent section for sections greater than 16 mm², in accordance with ABNT NBR 5410..
  6. Shielding: Copper tape applied to the neutral conductor, covering 100 per cent of the cable core.
  7. Outer sheath: Extruded layer of non-halogenated thermoplastic polyolefin compound (SHF1).

Identification
