Its jacket is made of PVC. It is available in different voltage classes from 3.6/6 kV to 20/30 kV and different conductor cross-sections: from 35 mm² to 500mm².
Application:
Nexans XLPE-PVC cable is designed for isolated power supply and distribution circuits in substations, industrial and commercial installations. It can be installed outdoors, in conduits, ducts, duct banks or trays.
Construction:
1.Conductor: Made of bare copper wires, minimum conductivity 100% IACS, soft temper, meeting class 2 compacted type stranding.
2.Conductor shielding: Extruded semiconductor thermosetting compound.
3.Insulation: Cross-linked Polyethylene (XLPE) thermosetting compound for 90°C conductor operating temperature, meeting the physical requirements prescribed by NBR 6251.
4.Insulation shield: Non-metallic shield based on semiconductor thermosetting compound.
5.Metallic shield: Made up of copper wires, helically applied to the insulation shield, with a minimum section of 6 mm2 in accordance with NBR 6251. For different shielding sections, ask for prior consultation.
6.Cover: Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) thermoplastic compound in black, lead-free, meeting the physical requirements prescribed by NBR 6251, type ST2.
Identification:
They are supplied in black with marking as provided for by NBR6251 and sequential metering.
Operating regime:
The thermal limits under operating conditions are in accordance with ABNT NBR 6251.
Permanent regime: 90ºC
Overload regime: 130ºC
Short-circuit regime: 250ºC
