Nexans EPR105-PVC AL 8,7/15kV 1x95mm²
Nexans EPR105-PVC AL 8,7/15kV 1x95mm²
Nexans EPR105-PVC AL cable is a medium voltage cable, ranging from 3.6/6 kV to 20/35 kV. Its main feature is its EPR 105 composite insulation, allowing it to operate at a temperature of up to 105ºC permanently, resulting in an increased current-carrying capacity. It has a PVC cover (ST2), aluminum conductor, class 2 stranding, compacted type.

Application:
Nexans EPR105-PVC AL cables are ideal for applications in insulated power supply and distribution circuits in substations, industrial and commercial installations, where cables with aluminium conductors are required. They can be installed in a variety of conditions, including outdoors, in conduits, ducts, underground installations, duct banks or trays. Compared to conventional EPR, HEPR or XLPE insulated cables, which have a maximum conductor temperature of 90 °C, Nexans EPR105-PVC AL cables can operate with a continuous conductor temperature of up to 105 °C, resulting in an increased current-carrying capacity. In addition, they have a coordinated insulation thickness, in accordance with NBR 6251, which results in reduced external dimensions compared to conventional cables insulated in EPR, HEPR or XLPE.
Construction:
1.Conductor: Formed of aluminum wires, round compacted, class 2 stranding, according to NBR NM 280.
2.Conductor shielding: Extruded semiconductor thermosetting compound.
3.Insulation: Ethylene propylene rubber thermosetting compound (EPR 105) for an operating temperature of 105 °C in the conductor, meeting the physical requirements prescribed by NBR 6251.
4.Insulation shielding: Non-metallic shielding based on extruded semiconductor thermosetting compound that is easy to remove when cold and manufactured using a triple extrusion process and a nitrogen dry-curing system.
5.Metallic shield: Made up of copper wires, helically applied to the insulation shield, with a minimum section of 6 mm2 in accordance with NBR 6251. For different shielding sections, ask for prior consultation.
6.Cover: Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) thermoplastic compound in black, meeting the physical requirements prescribed by NBR 6251, type ST2.
Identification:
They are supplied in black with sequential marking of the footage.
Operating regime:
The thermal limits under operating conditions are in accordance with ABNT NBR 6251.
Permanent regime: 105ºC
Overload regime: 140ºC
Short-circuit regime: 250ºC
